Banff National Park
Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada – 2008. Banff National Park is located west of Calgary on the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains. It was founded in 1885 and is Canada’s first National Park. The park covers more than 6,600 square kilometres and has spectacularly scenic mountains, valleys, glaciers, forests, meadows and rivers along with abundant wildlife. We spent a couple of days in Banff in November and winter came early. All of these photos are in colour but because of the low clouds and snow the lack of light makes most of them look like black and white photos.
